Enjoy the boundless energy of monotypes, followed by the rigors of structural folding, in this expansive workshop combining printmaking and artist books. With plates and ink, participants will create a series of colorful prints using multiple techniques. Direct painting, roller options, layering and paper choices will be discussed and demonstrated. Following this fast-paced monothon, we will explore the art of the fold and deep dive into multiple ways to structure and configure the prints into beautiful artist books. These lovely treasures can be further enhanced with drawing, thread, and other embellishments.
