Dear Friends of Castle Hill,

Welcome to the 37th edition of Castle Hill's Spring & Summer Catalog.

This is a very special year; by the time this catalog reaches you the renovation of the 1882 historic barn will very much be underway. It's not just because I'm the executive director of the center that I feel that this barn is such a special place. It is a commonly held feeling shared with me by so many others.

Thousands of paintings have been painted, pots thrown, bronze poured, poems written, figures carved here that have made this a place that artists are drawn to over and over. With the generous support of the Truro Community Preservation Committee, the Massachusetts Cultural Council and many other generous individuals and foundations, we will be able to maintain this very special barn for the next 200 years. I personally thank you all for your support. If you've never visited Castle Hill, this is the year to experience the unique and special quality of this school.

This summer we bring you an inspirational list of faculty. We also offer a stellar line up for our Tuesday Evening Lecture Series. Judy Chicago serves as our Woody English Chair, Mary Frank as our Ella Jackson Chair, Malcolm Davis as our Joyce Johnson Chair and Dorianne Laux as our Presidents' Chair.

Come to an art opening, a poetry reading, take a class, experience the creative atmosphere wafting through our newly renovated barn and see for yourself. We welcome you!
