LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT A world of imagination waits for you at Castle Hill. Just think of this catalogue as a roadmap, and step inside. Launched as a summer art school by founder Joyce Johnson in 1971, today’s Castle Hill has become a year round community arts center. Led by Executive Director Cherie Mittenthal and her dedicated staff, we are offering over 100 different classes and workshops this year, taught, as always, by faculty of national renown. Paint or write, sculpt or throw, improve your craft, learn a new discipline, or follow a curiosity: the choice is yours. Everyone is welcome, from accomplished professionals to enthusiastic novices, young or old, Cape Cod residents to visitors from across the country and around the world. Won’t you join us? Take a class, or come to one of our bi-weekly
art openings, our annual auction, or one of our regular readings or lectures.
Explore the worlds of Castle Hill, where individuals connect to imagination,
artists connect to the community, and the community can connect to the
arts. Curtis Hartman
