5 Sessions at Edgewood Farm

For years, the landscape of the Outer Cape has served as a vital subject for painters. In this class we will look at landscape paintings from the past as jumping off points for explorations and experimentations in the field. All painting will be done outside, where we will use the landscape as a space to consider the formal and poetic concerns of painting.

This class is suitable for painters of all levels.

Abraham Storer is a landscape painter who depicts the land and objects within it as a means of exploring interior personal states, both psychological and spiritual. He currently lives on Cape Cod where he also writes about art and culture. His work reflects his connection to the Cape landscape as well as diverse places around the world where he has lived, including Israel, Poland, and New York. Storer has an MFA from Boston University, a BA from Brandeis University and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.
