The class is an introduction to welding while having a creative experience. The plan is to develop skills through self designed challenges, resulting in creating a piece a day. This creates closure on what has been learned and allows for a fresh start while promoting a lack of preciousness in the work, leaving space for surprises.

Johnny Swing has 47 years of welding experience including a structural steel welding license from NYC. While in NY he evolved from being a well-known street artist to showing in top galleries. A 2-year, large-scale art lobby project ended up being the test case for the art law VARA. His most well known work involves welding thousands of coins to generate furniture. Blending art and design enables him to share the work both visually and physically.
