Young artist will enjoy creating through painting, drawing, printmaking, collaging and more. Activities are designed to encourage individual expression and inspire creativity while providing students with an opportunity to explore a wide range of art media–Painting: experiment with color, shapes and textures, Printmaking: learn methods such as stamping, monoprinting, relief printing using materials like foam sheets, leaves, recycle materials, Collage: encourage children to combine different materials like paper, fabric, buttons, or magazines to create unique composition. Note card designing: Children can design their own note cards using various techniques to create personalized greeting cards, thank-you cards, or birthday cards using drawing, painting, or collage techniques.
Art classes for children is a wonderful way to foster students creativity and provides them with a platform to express themselves.
Ayisha is a fiber artist who believes Art can: reflect life, and transform your world. Ayisha is a 2022 New Voices Fellow for the Greater Hartford Arts Council. She is an arts administrator, and Vice President of Joisha Design Group. Her art has been exhibited at the Mariposa Museum, Oak Bluffs, Windsor Art Center, Windsor, Ct., EcoSpace Gallery, Hartford, Ct. and Sarah Waddell Gallery, Ohio. Ayisha’s Fiber Art was published in 2017 in the book, Still They Persist: Protest Art from the 2017 Women’s Marches.
Ayisha has taught mixed media art at the Wadsworth Museum of Art, Hartford Public High School, Girl Scouts of America, Jumoke Academy and EcoSpace Gallery.
