Learn to apply traditional and innovative with multimedia design to create compelling installations. Through foundational processes and imaginative experimentation, students have the opportunity to create pieces that can be engaged with in various ways — whether as sculptures for photography, installation displays, wearable art, or showcased as 2D or 3D pieces. Students will explore the interplay of light, color, and form while pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. Students are encouraged to bring personal items to work with, such as found/recycled materials, natural items, or broken jewelry to repurpose and use in tandem with stained glass and mosaic pieces. Discover new dimensions in your artistic practice that can help cultivate unique approaches of producing and sharing artwork. Class members are welcomed to engage with the landscape surrounding the Edgewood Farms studios and the vibrant Cape Cod environment to further propel creativity with their works.
Mike Sullivan is an artist and musician. His work includes sculptural headwear made with materials ranging from natural objects to jewelry and broken mirror. Mike immersed himself in the queer communities in Provincetown and New York City. There he found a passion for portrait and documentary photography. With roots in the theatre, Mike has produced several concerts and collaborations with other singers and musicians as fundraisers for different causes.
