Director of Programs

The Director of Programming is responsible coordinating workshops throughout the year both in person and on Zoom. Overseeing the smooth, safe and efficient running of workshops and for daily maintenance of studio for all workshops throughout the year. Supervising studio managers to assure good communication and professional programs. 

Duties Include:

  • Planning & coordinating Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter Workshops

  • Planning & coordinating the after-school program with the local elementary schools

  • Responsible for overseeing the studio managers, interns & volunteers

  • Overseeing weekly staff meetings – and be part of the leadership team

  • Checking in with faculty weekly    

  • Overseeing studios for each workshop, assuring smoothness in conjunction with studio managers

  • Logistics for Encaustic Conference and future conferences

  • Enforcing universal and safety precautions as described by director with studio managers

  • Assisting with Auction and all other events as planned

  • Overseeing Gallery Shows & openings, (labels, images & communication with artists), hanging

  • Assisting the executive artistic director and managing director as needed

  • Assisting with mailing and all fundraisers

  • Graphic Designing -  all ads and web design updates (this isn’t mandatory but would be great!)

  • Assisting with all aspects of the Artist Residency Program and all intensive workshops at Edgewood Farm.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in arts or related field, strong people skills, organized and a team player, supervision experience & strong leadership skills.
- Must have an interest in the arts and a strong background in the arts, writing & organizing
-Graphic Design skills a plus

Salary range:
$50,000 - $55,000, full time, year round with health benefits & vacation time
