Opening Reception

Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill is excited to showcase our 4th Annual Winter Ceramics Exhibition with work from our fall and winter ceramic students as well as our Ceramic Cooperative Members. Our Winter Clay exhibit will be up from May 11-18 with an opening reception on May 11 from 4-6pm.
The work featured will be a variety of functional and sculptural pieces that have been created and fired in our gas, electric, salt/soda and wood fired kilns here at Castle Hill. This winter we offered three Wednesday Clay workshops and three Thursday night Throwing workshops, all of which ran between 6-7 weeks each.
Artists in this exhibit range from beginner to advanced and every level in-between. Join us in celebrating all of the work they have created in our lively and vibrant ceramic studio!
As we close out the winter season with this exhibition we are looking ahead to another exciting summer season, in which we have over 20 ceramic workshops scheduled.
The ceramic department, lead by Ceramic Program Director Brian Taylor, has historically been one of our most popular programs each year; providing space for all to learn in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere. Our studios are designed to bring ceramic makers together so that they can share ideas, techniques and experiences within a supportive and creative environment.
Co-op memberships are available to residents of Cape Cod, giving them the opportunity to work in a communal studio environment that is both well-equipped and stimulating.
