Wes Brown
Wes Brown works in functional ware and sculpture, and he has worked and studied as an artist in such places as Indiana, North Carolina, and Jingdezhen, China. “I act upon the clay with passion to create works that memorialize struggle, trial, and triumph.” says Brown. Using the malleability and immediacy inherent to clay, he builds his work in an uninhibited practice. “I want my work to capture an ethos familiar with hardship, possessing a dignity and reverence found through a resoluteness to continue”. Wes Brown holds an Associates of Art degree from Sinclair Community College, a Bachelors of Fine Art from Bowling Green State University, and a Masters of Fine Arts from Indiana University."
Deborah Dancy
Deborah Dancy is a multimedia artist. Her paintings, drawings, digital photography, and small sculptures examine the shifting intersection between abstraction and representation. In this slippery and indeterminate territory, her work operates in the recognition that everyday moments, meandering and observations, can be both beautiful and unnerving. Dancy has been a Guggenheim Fellow, a Yaddo Fellow, and a National Endowment of the Arts NEFA awardee. Her work is in numerous collections including: The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; The Birmingham Museum of Art; The Hunter Museum; and The Detroit Institute of Art. She is represented by N’Namdi Contemporary Miami, Robischon Gallery, Denver and Marcia Wood Gallery, Atlanta.
