The Truro Center for the Arts at Castle is excited to welcome back NY Times Food Columnist, Mark Bittman, for a Carnivorous & Vegetarian Feast at the beautiful Truro Pamet Yacht Club on Sunday, July 19th at 6:00pm. Indulge in Wellfleet Oysters, Ballston Brisket and Ryder Ribs, with recipes by David Grayson and Mark Bittman himself. Vegetarian guests will enjoy delicious fare by Provincetown-based Cosmos Catering, one of the Cape’s premier caterers.

Bittman is an American journalist and author on the subject of food.  He is the author of the “Minimalist” column, which ran for more than 13 years in the Dining section of The New York Times.   He is one of the country’s best-known and widely-admired food writers.  In 2009 Bittman wrote Food Matters discussing the environmental and lifestyle challenges incited by the overproduction and overconsumption of meat, simple carbohydrates and junk food.  Bittman now contributes to the New York Times Opinion Pages, and is the lead food columnist for the New York Times Magazine.

 

Tickets are limited to 40 seats for this summer favorite, so advanced reservation is a must. Tickets are $250 for members, $300 for non-members, and include the raw bar, dinner and drinks.
