10am:
Mycologist Lawrence Millman will lead a Fungal Foray at Edgewood Farm.  The foray will focus on ecology rather than edibility.  Participants will learn what a particular species is doing in its particular habitat as well as maybe, just maybe what that species is doing.  Throughout the walk, Dr. Millman will be using common names rather than Latin binomials.  Bring along a hand lens (if you have one) as well as your sense of curiosity about the natural world.

2pm:
Lawrence Millman will talk about and read from his most recent book Outsider: My Boyhood With Thoreau.  The book focuses on his preference for the out-of-doors to the indoors as well as the fact he has always been outside any known social group, unless you consider insects, reptiles, and mush-rooms social groups.  It also deals with how Henry David Thoreau was his childhood mentor.
