This workshop is designed to give students a thorough and intensive grounding in hand weaving on a rigid heddle loom, with specific focus on color, weave and tapestry technique.

During this 5-day workshop, students will learn foundational weaving skills such as direct warping and loom set up. The focus for this class will be primarily on the exploration of color and weave and all its exciting designs, as well as the fundamentals of tapestry. Learning these skills will lead to a finished wall hanging incorporating both weaving formats. The aim of this class is to learn to make decisions which will lead to success and encourage developing your own distinctive voice as a weaver. All materials will be provided, and no experience is necessary.

Space is limited for this workshop.
