Watercolors can be a lot more fun, flexible, and enterprising than people think. Come and join us as we delve into the following activities: exploring acrylic drip resist with watercolors, using the color wheel to find a limited palette, expressive line, Asian paper collage with watercolors, crinkled paper technique, using gradation to make your watercolors more visually interesting, designing compelling shapes, combining watercolor and ink, learning how to lift paint, pre-wetting shapes to mingle your colors, Handouts, demos and specialized materials will be provided by the instructor. Bring your own watercolor supplies.
Nan Rumpf is an award-winning artist. Her work has been accepted into the American Watercolor Society’s International Show in New York City and the New England Watercolor Society’s National Show in Gloucester. She was one of twenty artists chosen across the country to have a painting included in the Watercolor Artist Magazine’s Best of 2021 in watercolor.
