We will create hardwood cutting board beginning with chosing hardwoods slats, proceeding to establishing beautiful wood patterns, and completing the cutting board with a food friendly finish. This hands-on class will walk you through each of the steps in making a creative cutting board to be used for years to come in your kitchen. All materials will be provided. No prior wood working experience is required.
Howard Barnstone is an avid furniture maker who spends his summers in Wellfleet. Since completing the 3 month intensive furniture making program at the North Bennett Street School in Boston in 2017, he has enjoyed making a variety furniture including Shaker cabinets and end tables, an arts and crafts style Adirondack chair, and many other pieces. Howard also volunteers with the Wellfleet Harbor Stage Theatre in building their sets. Previously, Howard was an executive in the FInTeck industry specializing in strategic planning, and company acquisitions.
