Procreate is an extensive app for the iPad which enables the artist great freedom in drawing, painting, and collaging through a variety of creative tools which we explore in this workshop. You can also enhance your photos with this app, and combine it with other apps. This workshop is offered in two parts. Students are welcome to stay the whole day or take part of the workshop morning or afternoon. Have your iPad fully charged, and your App up to date. You will need to download Procreate onto your iPad for a nominal fee if you don’t have it.
Procreate 1) We will create our own documents and work with our own images and drawing techniques using a variety of brushes and pallets. This is an introduction to, or a review of the primary elements of the app. We will use layering, importing photos, and textures. It will really get you going or offer you new insight into the basics. It is recommended that you bring photos on your camera roll to work with.
Procreate 2) As time allows instruction will include making and importing brushes, and various ways to mask, and layer to enhance images or drawings. There will be time to work on individual projects, and share. We will cover the use of textures and patterns incorporated into the image. Artists will be encouraged to “be creative” with this app.
