iColorama, session 1: 9am - 12pm

The iColorama app (“iC”) is a full-featured art app that has an impressive and extensive set of artistic tools for image editing/creation. During this introductory-level workshop, you’ll receive an overview of iC and learn how to enhance your photos and create unique works of digital art. The goal of this workshop is to learn how to use IC to develop a workflow that resonates with your creative style and unique perspective. This workshop is geared toward beginning learners who are using an Apple iPad to edit photos and/or create digital art. Demonstrations will be provided on applying various effects and filters to change the tone, the colors, the grain, the noise and the size of your image. Please bring your iPad and 3-5 images that you would like to turn into digital art.

iColorama, session 2: 1pm - 4pm

This workshop will build on the artistic tools from the iColorama 1 workshop. A working knowledge of iColorama is required as we will move from using iColorama as a filter app to create photo paintings. During this advanced workshop we will explore masking, layering, blending, painting with brushes and adding text. Demonstrations will be provided to adjust the size, opacity, and hardness of the brushes to create different strokes and textures. We will experiment with different brush settings to achieve the desired artistic effect. We will  take advantage of the layering feature in iColorama to create depth and complexity in your artwork.  Please bring Please bring your iPad and 3-5 images that you would like to turn into digital art.
