Cardboard: any heavy-duty PAPER based product. This humble material is abundantly available, easily cut or shaped by hand and eagerly absorbs wax! Open to everyone, this 2-Day Workshop will introduce techniques for creating 2D and 3D encaustic work. A wide variety of shapes, corrugated boxes and box inserts will be provided. Alternative hanging ideas for sculptural wall hung work will be discussed.
Day 1: Short demos followed by hands on manipulation of materials and time to explore personal ideas.
Day 2: You’ll work freely on your own projects and receive individual feedback if desired.
Be on the lookout for cardboard objects that interest you!
